Blog Creation Motivations

bloggingTransparency is first and foremost, I’d say. Writing allows access to one’s inner thoughts. Wasn’t it Patton that said something to the effect of knowing Rommel’s motivations by reading his book? By blogging, I reveal a part of myself that I struggle to say person-to-person. And by reading these posts, my readers can get to know me better than just what I put on Instagram or tweet/retweet.

Motivation is penultimate but at least it’s present. It is an important life skill and one that I need to work on constantly because It’s so easy to sit back and hide with inaction. The reason motivation is important is because every person on this earth is unique and has a purpose. To steward our purpose well, we’ve got to be motivated to work towards our goals which helps our dreams become reality. Not just for our sake, but for the sake of others as well.

Finally,  is accountability: I can’t hide myself any longer. For so many years, I kept my mental illness hidden to protect myself from any possible custody issues. That was a monumental task in hiding something that was so much a part of me.  It added to my imposter syndrome which I will blog about further in an upcoming post.
