
We’ve been trying to add a new workout machine to our lineup but it’s been a monumental task. Everything, if they even are producing, is “Due to high demand, est. arrival after purchase is 45 days”. We actually had one ordered off Amazon but two days before it’s scheduled arrival, they notified us that it was damaged in shipping; therefore they’d return it to the manufacturer. And that was the last one in stock, as their production facilities are closed due to COVID-19.
We went to Dick’s Sporting Goods, who listed they had one in stock; but only to arrive there and find out it was their floor model which they wouldn’t sell to us. Facebook Twin Cities didn’t have any mid-range $1,500 ones either. Everything is the cheap, flimsy type or the commercial models that run 3K+.
So today, it’s been two weeks since we ordered the above Sole E35 from Johnson Fitness and we found out that we are only now in the preproduction part of the queue and it is still forty-five days out which took the wind out of my sails. I’ve grown tired of my other machines and it’s affecting my excitement to workout. This is all in response to COVID-19 which closed the health clubs and forced people to purchase machines for home use. I only wish I would’ve preplanned during the stocking up on toilet paper phase and purchased it then. Hindsight…
